Millikin Wrestling Goes 2-1 at Chocolate Duals

The Millikin wrestling team went 2-1 in three matches at the Chocolate Duals hosted by Messiah University in Grantham, Penn. on December 17.

Millikin defeated Delaware Valley 24-17 in round one. In round two, the Big Blue fell to Johnson & Wales 28-12. Millikin closed out the day defeating the host Messiah 26-17.

Millikin own the first six matches against Delaware Valley. Zac Blasioli won a major decision 10-1 at 125 pounds. Coby Haney won 9-5 at 133. At 141, Jordan Carson scored a 16-0 technical fall victory. Peter McCusker won by fall at 149 and Nathan Callaway won 4-1 at 157. Dejon Glaster was a 7-3 winner at 165.

Against Johnson and Wales, the Big Blue scored four wins by decision with Haney, Carson, McCusker and Glaster picking up victories.

Against Messiah, Blasioli was a technical fall 16-0 winner at 125. Blasioli, who is ranked fifth in most recent NWCA poll, improved to 10-2 on the season. Haney picked up his third win of the day with an 18-1 technical fall win at 133. Haney is now 11-3 on the season. Carson remained undefeated on the season with a win by fall at 141. Carson, who entered the day ranked #14, is now 14-0 on the season. McCusker got his third win of the day by decision to improve to 15-2 on the year. The Big Blue closed out the match with wins at 197 by Cade Scott, a 14-4 major decision, and Leno Campbell at 285, a 5-3 decision.

Millikin, ranked #24 in the NWCA Dual Rankings, is now 7-1 on the season.
