SPECIFICATION forming part o f Letters Patent No. 737,335, dated August 25, 1903.

Be it known that I, EZEA A. BUEEELL, a citizen of the United States, residing at Salt Lake City, in the county of Salt Lake and State of Utah, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Trousers Hangers and Stretchers; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

My invention is .an` improved trousers stretcher and hanger; and it consists in the peculiar construction and combination of devices hereinafter fully described and claimed.

The object of my invention is to provide a cheap, simple, and efficient article of this character which is adapted for stretching and hanging trousers of various sizes and which may be conveniently hung to any suitable object, such as a hat-hook, nail, string, rod, or wire.

The accompanying drawing is a perspective View of a trousers stretcher and hanger embodying my improvements, showing the same 1n use.

In the embodiment of my invention I provide a yoke or stretcher-rod l, which is here shown as madeof asingle piece of wire bent at its center to form an'eye 2 on its upper side and bent at its ends to form downwardly-extending hooks 3. A suspending-hook 4 is attached to the eye 2 at the center of the yoke, and to the hooks 3 are attached suitable elastic hangers 5, of which two pairs are employed, the

said hangers being provided at their upper ends with eyelets 7 toreceive and engage the hooks 3 of the yoke. At the lower ends of the elastic hangers are spring-clasps 6. The

hangers is such as to stretch the trousers-legs and keep them in proper shape.

It will be understood that my improved trousers stretcher and hanger occupies but very little space and that a number of them may be employed ina comparatively small closet or wardrobe for stretching or hanging a number of pairs of pantaloons.

From the foregoing description, taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, the construction, operation, and advantages of my invention will be readily apparent, it is thought, without requiring a more extended explanation.

Various changes in the form, proportion, and the minor details of construction may be resorted to without departing from the principle or sacriiicing anyl of theadvantages of l what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

A trousers-stretcher comprising a yoke hav ing depending hooks at its ends, two pairs of elastic hangers having eyes at their upper ends engaging the said hooks, one pair of the hang ers depending from each of said hooks, and spring-clasps at the lower ends of th'e said elastic hangers, one arm of each of the springclasps being attached to one of the said elastic hangers, substantially as described.
