Abstract

The present invention relates to a clothes peg, consisting of two peg halves, each with a grip leg (12, 13) at one end and a clamping leg (10, 11) at the opposite end, the two peg halves being connected in an articulated manner in such a way that the two clamping legs (10, 11) are pressed against one another by means of a spring force. The clothes peg according to the current invention is characterized in that the grip legs (12, 13) can be fixed in different spaced positions relative to one another and the clamping effect on the clamping legs (10, 11) can thereby be adjusted variably. According to a preferred embodiment, this is achieved in that one grip leg (12) is prolonged at the upper end and catch recesses (15) are formed on this in the region of the prolongation, in different spaced positions, for catching the tip (16) of the other grip leg (13). <IMAGE>

Description

Herkömmliche Wäscheklammern bestehen aus zwei gleichen Klammerhälften und einer Spiralfeder. Die Klammerhälften sind wie langgezogene Keile geformt. Die Außenseiten der Klammerhälften sind gerade. Die sich zugewandten Innenseiten verlaufen vom einen Ende bis zur Mitte ebenfalls gerade, also parallel zu den Außenseiten. Diese Teile der Klammerhälften bilden die Klemmschenkel. Ab der Mitte verjüngen sich die Klammerhälften zum anderen Ende hin keilförmig und bilden die Griffschenkel. Zwischen den Klammerhälften ist in der Mitte in einer Aussparung die Spiralfeder angebracht. Deren Enden laufen schräg zu den Außenseiten der Klemmschenkel und klemmen diese gegeneinander. Durch den Druck der Spiralfeder werden die Klammerhälften so zusammengedrückt, daß die Klemmschenkel aufeinanderliegen und sich zwischen den Griffschenkeln eine "V"-förmige Aussparung bildet. Drückt man die Griffschenkel zusammen, gehen die Klemmschenkel scherenartig auseinander. Läßt man die Griffschenkel wieder los, werden die Klemmschenkel wieder gegeneinandergedrückt. Wäscheklammern werden typischerweise zur Befestigung von Wäschestücken auf einer Leine verwendet. Dabei befindet sich die Wäsche zwischen den Klemmschenkeln. Die Konstruktion der herkömmlichen Wäscheklammer bringt es mit sich, daß diese permanent und unveränderlich Klammerwirkung ausübt. Die unterschiedliche Beschaffenheit der zu befestigen Textilien kann es erforderlich machen, eine besonders schonende Klammer zu verwenden, z.B. bei Seidenhemden. Eine schonende Benutzung herkömmlicher Wäscheklammern, wobei ein geringerer Druck auf die Wäsche ausgeübt wird, ist nicht möglich.Conventional clothes pegs consist of two identical clip halves and a spiral spring. Die Figur 1 zeigt die Wäscheklammer mit den beiden Klammerhälften 17 und 18 und dem angeformten Bügel 14. Der eine kürzere Griffschenkel 13 kann mit seiner Spitze 16 in die verschiedenen Rastmulden 15 des Bügels 14 einrasten und wird so festgestellt. Der Bügel 14 ist oben an dem längeren Griffschenkel 12 angeformt und zwar in einem Winkel von gut 90° abgewinkelt. Dabei ist der Bügel 14 so lang, daß er den kürzeren Griffschenkel 13 übergreift und über diesen hinausragt. Mehrere Rastmulden 15 befinden sich an der Unterseite des Bügels in zunehmendem Abstand zum oberen Ende des Griffschenkels 12. Je weiter der Griffschenkel 13 nach außen, das heißt von dem Griffschenkel 12 weg gelangt, desto geringer wird der Abstand zwischen den Klemmschenkeln 10 und 11. Figur 2a zeigt die Wäscheklammer in der Grundstellung, an den Klemmschenkeln vollständig geöffnet. Rastet die Spitze 16 in die erste der Rastmulden 15 ein, so ist die Wäscheklammer noch halb geöffnet, Figur 2b. Rastet die Spitze 16 in die nächste der Mulden 15 ein, so ist die Klammer fast geschlossen, Figur 2c. Wenn die Spitze in die letzte der Mulden 15 einrastet, ist die Klammer geschlossen, Figur 2d. Durch die unterschiedlichen Abstände der Klemmschenkel variiert die Klemmwirkung. Durch die verschiedenen Feststellmöglichkeiten kann der Benutzer die Klammer variabel einsetzen. Er kann empfindliche Wäschestücke so befestigen, daß nur ein geringer Druck auf sie ausgeübt wird, indem er die Klammer in der festen Position "halb geöffnet" oder "fast geschlossen" (vergleiche Figur 2b,c) ansetzt.FIG. 1 shows the clothes peg with the two clip halves 17 and 18 and the molded bracket 14.
