With only this info I can tell that nothing is wrong. What is normal calling? What is normal surfing means? Whatsapp is known battery hog on any phone.
I assume you have pretty much good cell reception(5G), auto brightness, VOLTE on and you are getting 10 hours of standby, 3-4hours of SOT 100 to 47% while being on a call for couple of hours.

How to tweak, debloat the ROM and make required changes...
Just with normal calling, surfing, WhatsApp battery drained from 100 to 47%.
ROM updated to the latest version.

I received mine. It's a great phone, slightly heavier and with some OnePlus related bloat software etc. Battery drain, maybe due to some installed apps like Accubatt, Speed test etc.
Camera is awesome.
What are the apps safe to remove, that drain it too?
Am using Nova Prime and Yr.no weather app.
Can I contact you on XDA to get expert assistance to tweak the ROM, to get the full juice out of this great phone?
My only concern is SOT, btw today is my 1st day of its use. My 4 yr. old Xiaomi gives a more SOT but with a tweaked debloated MIUI 14..

- OnePlus support 4/5 years of OS/Security updates which is more than enough for a flagship. Majority of people keep their phone for 2 to 3 years max 4 years.
- what do you mean by charge it 3 times a day? Do you even have idea, OnePlus 12 has the best battery life in a smartphone while keeping one of the recored breaking fastest charging speed. For longitivtiy previous OnePlus phones are a proof that it lasts way longer than people make to be. 10 Pro and 11 are example with very strong battery life till now.
- What makes it competitive is the Price. This phone is almost half the price of most expensive phone brand. Yet It has worldclass display, battery, great camera, gaming, performance, speakers and pretty smooth software all that for $800 ... This is definitely the flagship killer for 2024 my friend.

What if most people is using those features? Btw all phones use some sort of AI to enchase quality of images, so basically all phones are "AI Gimmicks".
What if I tell you those "scammers" have the most feature rich software off all smartphones? And software support are the best of all companies? You can't name at least one other company which supports their phones for so long: samsung, google, apple.
What if other companies batteries lasts way longer so you don't need to charge your phone in 25% two/three times a day?

The phone is really nice in terms of components and comfort of use, but it has one drawback (which can be corrected in software), but OnePlus have been completely ignoring it for some time now. We're talking about a 1-2 second delay when switching to other apps from the background. Unfortunately, I tried two units of this phone, but the error was so irritating that I had to give up on it. This completely destroys the smoothness of the system...

They have best battery in smartphone and very good camera with crisp telephoto. I just love the 80Watt charging speed and its price for what it offers! 100% in 25 mins. imagine that! woah!!! My 2nd choice would be IPhone 15Pm solely for Video quality. That's it! Rest are AI gimmick phones such as S24U and P8Pro with various issues, money grabbing scam*ers.

Im doing little review about the phone to anybody who wants to buy this phone.
I bought the phone about 3 months ago. I had Google Pixel 8 pro for short time and returned it because of very weak battery. I was iphone user for nearly a decade and wanted to try Android because of more freedom. When i had very bad experience with the Pixel device i was afraid that more Android device batteries are bad.
So after months of thinking and reading reviews i decided to go with Oneplus 12. Best phone by far. As i never have had phone with so large screen. The battery is very good. It can last up to 2,5 days if you are not using it like madman. Gaming 24/7, scrolling all the time, watching videos all day.
On average day i do web browsing, listen Spotify/Web radio through browser, reading news through feedly app, checking e-mails,
Some calls/sms. Im not using social media besides Telegram. Don't know how much battery FB, Tiktok, Insta would consume.
The camera is very good, zoom is insane. Screen is also very good. I did debloat the phone also to get better results from it.
And put light weight launcher named kiss launcher. I was also afraid of the green line issue. 3 months using the phone and no green lines. I purchased the phone on my local store. But if someone wants this model with good price should look up on Giztop or Tradingshenzen and with Oxygenos. You will miss esim support if you buy the Chinese model of the phone. The phone has quick charge time also. About 20 minutes if you are on 50% battery. If anyone is thinking of buying a new device then Oneplus 12 is best price to quality ratio at the moment. Phone under 1000 pricetag and is very best at the moment. It may lack AI things but this is not big deal. I would rate the phone 10/10. No problems at all. Great device. So if anyone wants to upgrade or is coming from ios then this phone should be good to go years to come.

I have seen many here praising and many saying they are facing issues. It is possible that they might have came accross rare instances of getting their hands into a device with the manufacturing defect.
In general, I can definately say, for the price to perform ratio this is one of the best device you can get with overall excellent performance.
Image processing is the only area where they can do something better as the device itself have a capable set of cameras.

How correct is the fact that the green/ pink lines occasionally show on the Indian variant and not the Chinese, EU,US variants? Is it a manufacturer defect?
Want to clear this, before purchasing.
