Pier 77 is a local PCB seafood restaurant that has been in operation for over 35 years. Our seafood comes fresh from our sister business next door, Shrimp City, a gulf seafood market. Both establishments are ran by the same family, in fact, they are brother and sister. Sandra Arnold runs Pier 77 and Hal Dybdal operates Shrimp City, while their father, Mr. Harold Dybdal, acts as the family business consultant. Ask the locals and they will tell you Pier 77 is the hidden gem of Thomas Drive, that serves the best fried shrimp and she-crab soup in Panama City Beach! Our restaurant will be reopening on January 15th, 2015! We are excited to show you the incredible changes we have made during the off-season. Come out and help us celebrate our 35th year serving Bay County & our new and improved menu and decor!…

Whenever we go on vacation we always look for the best local spots to eat....and in the world of big name, over priced, gimmicky seafood places that Panama City is, we were so happy to find Pier 77!

Food was excellent and the service was great. It's not some big dog and pony show of a place, just this little side joint stuffed with some old school booths, but they sure do make you feel like family. The oysters were excellent, and you have to have "the soup" you'll know which one when you get there. Everything was fresh and the wait time was reasonable. We will be back next time we go to PCB!

Oh such great food and service at Pier 77. What a wonderful experience. The boiled shrimp and special seasoning for their seafood is fantastic, leaving you craving more! We can't wait to return and the 2 hour drive is worth it!! It's cash only, so be prepared or use the ATM located inside.

Excellent food and friendly service. Our group had crab cakes, Royal Reds and
Snow crab... delicious! She crab soup and the tuna dip is a must! Very reasonable in comparison to other places in the area. The Interior is dated or vintage;) Either way we will go back. I can't believe I didn't take any pictures...I guess we ate to fast!

Came in for dinner around 5pm on a Friday night. We were pleasantly greeted upon entering the restaurant, and seated promptly. We were also informed there would be live music in the diningroom at 5:30!

Our server, Ashley, was super friendly, helpful and attentive. We ordered the she-crab soup, blue crab claws, grilled whitefish entree with cheesy grits and side salad. For dessert, we shared a slice of the Snickers pie. The food was pretty good, no complaints. The service is the main reason for the 4 stars. The people working here are so nice and hospitable...it's no wonder why people keep coming back! Would recommend.

Pier 77 served up friendly service and great meals when my wife and I stopped in for dinner. The restaurant is clean and currently following COVID guidelines to keep staff and patrons safe.

We started with the Sandra Baked Oysters for an appetizer - it didn't disappoint, dressed with melted cheese and bits of bacon to kick our meal off right. Moving on to entrees, we ordered the Seafood Trio (fish fingers, oysters and shrimp) and the Royal Reds (large, delectable shrimp boiled to perfection). We both ate happily to our seafood heart's content.

With so many oyster bars in PCB, it's hard to differentiate between the good ones (and there are several), but Pier 77 falls into the winner's column keeping pace with the other local gems.

The same owners also own Shrimp City, the seafood market next door, which by far is the cleanest one on the beach, offering fresh seafood at fair prices, with knowledgeable and friendly staff to assist tourists and locals alike.

If you're on the east side of the beach, Pier 77 is worth the stop for any seafood lover needing their fix.

Pier 77 is sort of a staple of southern Thomas Drive. It has been there for decades, and the fact that it has survived the opening of newer, fresher looking restaurants next door is testament to its good food, fantastic service, and committed customers. Everything I have gotten has been excellent, but my go-to favorite meal is a cup of gumbo and fried grouper sandwich. Can't go wrong with that! Their fried crab legs are also amazing.

Their gumbo is definitely the best in probably all of Florida. It is so good that they sell frozen gallons for taking home and enjoying later in the year. We always get a few gallons and it goes quickly once we get home!

Parking is limited and wait times can get lengthy, so I would suggest hitting it early or doing take out. It is a great meal to enjoy on the beach!

I got the 1/2 lb. Cajun Steamed Shrimp, chilled. Delicious and juicy, a tiny bit spicy, and the cocktail sauce had the perfect amount of heat.
The She-Crab soup is one of the best things I've ever eaten. Very smooth and creamy, and the lumps of meat were perfect size.
Our server Amber ( absolutely delightful) recommended I get my Mahi mahi blackened. It was spicy, but not hot. The fish itself was nice and firm and unbelievably tasty.
I don't leave a lot of reviews, but this place was above and beyond my expectations.

Parking is very limited and tight, had to park across the street at a motel. They are following the COVID-19 guidelines by spacing out the tables and disposable paper menus. However, it was confusing and difficult to find the hostess to take down your name and table size since it is first come, first serve.

We had a party of 6 and waited about 30 minutes to be seated. It was very busy. Once we were seated, our waitress was very nice and patient with us. 5/5 on service. Food was delicious, the captain platter had a little bit of everything. Chargrilled Sandra Oysters were good but the bacon overpowered the oyster flavored. Everything was priced so well, the best deal on seafood for sure.

Last night our family of 3 went to Pier 77 for the first time. I ordered the Cajun shrimp Alfredo with hush puppies and potato wedges. Everything was great but the pasta was phenomenal. It was fantastic!! Perfectly seasoned and all. My husband got grilled chicken (he's not a seafood eater) and it was very good too. Our waitress was very nice and we didn't even have to wait when we walked in at 8:00 to get a table in the middle of summer. She also showed us a collection of desserts and we chose to take the homemade peanut butter pie back to the room with us. I'm so glad we did because it was delicious!! Definitely try some.

Would have given 5 stars, but my fried potatoes were overcooked and not great. The fried crab claws were plentiful, delicious, and best priced here in PCB. My husband loved the Royal red shrimp appetizer. He said the pasta was delicious and he wants to go back next year. Hushpuppies were ok. My oysters were very good. Desserts weren't as good as we expected. Service was great. We will visit again.
