Off the Beach Shark Fishing Trips

We had a great time, as fishing goes the first couple hours were dead but then about 5 hours into the trip we had 2 lines hit at the same time, ended up losing one, but were able to real in 6' sandbar shark, incredible experience for my kids and myself. Jaden was our guide and was great with my kids 12 and 10 year old teaching them and answering their questions.

Just plan for a day at the beach, everything seems to bite at dusk or around high tide.

Well if negative stars was an option that would def be negative. I was referred to this guy Matt by Navarre pier. Which I was sure to make known they should stop recommending this guy. It should have been a red flag how insisting he was to be paid prior to the event. But I ignored it. Booked him weeks in advance. We paid for 5 people and my brother in-law has crones disease and his stomach hurt and wasn't going to be able to make it. Matt wouldn't refund him which I can understand so I found another person to take my bro in-laws spot. We got there and setup and 2 other groups besides mine were also there. Matt never showed up and the guy he sent brought the bait out and was in his truck more than on the beach. Luckily I am able to rig the other rods for my kids so I didn't need him. While talking to the 2 other groups which 1 group had 2 paying people the other was also 2 paying people. The group from Texas was as mad as me. Why the guy wasn't around Matt didn't bother to show up and the experience for both groups and our kids was terrible. I'm an avid fisherman. Reguardless if if we had caught anything or not can never be the experience you pay for. Its called fishing not catching for a reason. If there had maybe been more conversation or more than 3 rods for 9 paying customers things may have been different. If anyone is interested in shark fishing off the beach I'd recommend NO BONES FISHING out of Navarre. The owner will is amazing as well as his wife and family. After sharing how I had gotten ripped off by off the beach he offers to take my kid and I to catch sharks in Navarre where we were staying. It was a great experience. We caught multiple sharks one of which was a great hammerhead. The best part is it was where we were staying. Which was great because Matt had me drive with 5 people 2-1/2 hours to hang out with strange people that were all mad like me they had been ripped off as well . Before we packed up and left I let the guys from Texas know we were going to try and file a claim with PayPal to be refunded. He said he was also doing that. Then when I was telling this to the third group they told me they were there tonite because they had paid for the previous day and not caught anything. I then talked to the guy Matt did send out there he told me that Matt don't make it to the beach much anymore since he purchased a boat. If I had to do this over again I would insist that Matt be the guy doing the tour as advertised and I would have said I would pay when we meet prior to fishing. Like everyone else on the gulf does. I pay people to take me fishing every year and know what to expect. This guy is a rip-off artist.
