Teenager in critical condition after shooting in Germantown, Maryland

The shooting happened in the 13300 block of Demetrias Way.

GERMANTOWN, Md. — A 16-year-old boy is in critical condition after a shooting in Germantown, Maryland Thursday afternoon, the Montgomery County Department of Police said.

Police responded around 4:15 p.m. to the 13300 block of Demetrias Way for a shooting.

First responders found a 16-year-old boy who had been shot multiple times. 

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service said the teen was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The police department said the boy is in critical condition.

Police said that two possible suspects were seen running from the area of the shooting. No one is in custody.

No other information was immediately available.

"There was so much panic," said Timour Skrynnikov who was a passenger on a Metro train when he says accused killer 31-year old Isaiah Trotman walked on waving a gun. "I thought he was going to shoot me," Skrynnikov said.
