Upright, rounded, airy to dense habit. Silver-gray, flattened, sickle-shaped leaves. Small clusters of golden yellow, pea-like flowers. Attract bees. Flattened, papery, dark brown seedpods. Seeds are a food source for birds. Survives on minimal water, but lusher growth and better flower display with just a little additional water. Some litter from seed and flower drop. Minimal pruning when left natural. Avoid shearing. May die back partially or fully in severe cold. Established plants often come back from the roots. Synonyms: Cassia phyllodinea, Senna artemisioides petiolaris.
