David Shemesh MD, RVT

Dr. David Shemesh, MD, RVT, is the Director of the Vascular Access Unit at Shaare Zedek Medical Centre in Jerusalem Israel. The center is the major provider of vascular access for dialysis units in Jerusalem and receives referrals from many other units throughout the country.

Dr. Shemesh is a graduate of the Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem. He is a specialist vascular surgeon and holds a current Registered Vascular Technician certificate from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. He lectures at workshops around the country for dialysis nurses and technicians.

He has published and presented several papers regarding the establishment of the vascular access center for the construction and maintenance of arteriovenous access.

His research interests are Vascular Surgery, Hemodialysis, Stents, Angioplasty, Vascular Diseases, Minimally-Invasive Procedures.
