Suspects Wanted In Double Shooting At Germantown McDonald's

Police released video surveillance of two suspects involved in a double shooting​ in front of a Germantown McDonald's.

GERMANTOWN, MD — Police released video surveillance Tuesday of suspects involved in December's double shooting that injured two men in front of a Germantown McDonald's.

The two men were shot in the 19600 block of Gunner Branch Rd. at about 6:30 p.m. Dec. 10, police said. The incident left a visible bullet hole in the front window of the McDonald's, which is in the Fox Chapel shopping center.

Police said the two victims—a 26-year-old man and a 27-year-0ld man—fled from the suspects and tried to seek shelter in the fast food restaurant. The victims sustained non-life threatening injuries in the shooting and were both transported to an area hospital.

"Just after six in a shopping center at a restaurant is a busy time of day. We're fortunate that more people weren't hurt," Captain Paul Starks of the Montgomery County Police told ABC 7 News.

Police are working to identify a motive and suspect(s). Investigators believe that this was not a random event and there is some prior association between the suspect(s) and the victims. This remains an active investigation.
