PROJECT DETAILS
Clean, refine and add - that's how the concept can be summed up. As always when it comes to cultural properties, these are careful changes with regard to the property's history and antiquarian value. A new expression is intertwined with the building's original character - now as then with timelessness and quality as the main keywords. Knut Nordenskjöld's original drawings have been used as a compass. As far as possible, beautiful details are preserved in their original design, and even in newly added elements, Semrén & Månsson has worked with a classic and durable material palette: oak, copper, granite and limestone.
It is easy to describe the offices at Kungsgatan 57 as a premium product. Nothing has been left to chance here, and it does not end with first-class materials and carefully designed interiors. Maximum flexibility is a key idea in the concept. With a state-of-the-art technology system at the bottom, the office premises are built up with largely movable walls. Good for the tenant's changing needs, and just as good from a sustainability perspective, as the premises can eventually be converted for other purposes without the environmental impact that a total renovation entails.
