1. Tunisian Simple Stitch
As it’s name suggests, this is a simple Tunisian crochet stitch that is great for beginners. This is the first stitch I learned when I started learning Tunisian crochet!

2. Tunisian Knit Stitch
It is hard to say if this swatch is knitted or crocheted! The knit stitch in Tunisian crochet is very similar to its knitting counterpart and can be used to make some very pretty patterns when combined with other stitches!

3. Tunisian Full Stitch
If you want to make fabric that looks and feels woven, this is the stitch for you. While it looks great in a single color, it can be used with gradient / variegated yarn as well to create some beautiful fabric 🙂

4. Tunisian Reverse Stitch
The Tunisian Reverse Stitch is very similar to the Tunisian Simple Stitch only that it is made in the back vertical bar instead of the one in the front. It can be used to add some beautiful texture to your fabric or combine it with overlay stitches (more on that in later posts about more complex stitches) to create some very pretty patterns!

5. Tunisian Double Crochet
The Tunisian Double Crochet stitch is very similar to the one in regular crochet. Its height is double that of other Tunisian crochet stitches mentioned in this page and creates a more breathable fabric that works up very quickly!

6. Tunisian X Stitch
If you have mastered the above stitches and would like to experiment with something slightly more complex than the basic stitches, the X stitch is a great one to try! The X’s can be worked up on top of each other or even staggered to create some very pretty looking fabric 🙂
