Southampton is in Upper Southampton Township in Bucks County. It shares its name with the English town from which William Penn’s followers embarked on their journey to America. It was recognized as a township in 1685. However, it later split into Upper and Lower Southampton in 1929. Over time, the area grew thanks to the railroad, farming, and other industries. 

 

The Vibe 

The overall vibe of Southampton is a blend of suburban and rural life, where residents enjoy a small-town feel and lots of nature. However, it’s only roughly 25 miles from Philadelphia, making it a great spot to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the big city when you want to.

There are two pavilions – one with a cozy fireplace. You’ll also find a farmhouse, an amphitheater, a disc golf course, and a carriage house on the grounds. Participate in daily activities, like a nature walk or yoga. Or kick back in the grass or at one of the picnic tables for a picnic or play some softball or tennis. 

 

Conestoga Rod and Gun Club  After undergoing extensive renovations in 2020, the Conestoga Rod and Gun Club has lots to offer. There are 11 shooting lanes and the club hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including Defense matches, Schuetzen Single Shot, action matches, and more. The range is indoors, which means you don’t need to worry about the weather messing up your plans. There’s also a lounge available for relaxing and catching up with friends when you’re taking a break from the range.
