Chaweng is one of the liveliest and most popular beaches on the island with a well-developed infrastructure. Soft white sand, convenient entry into the sea and clear water of a pale blue hue attracts vacationers from all over the island here. Also uhThis is a favorite youth recreation spot: DJ bars, parties with the Fire Show, pubs and clubs are all in abundance here.

However, not only nightlife lovers choose Chaweng, the northern part of the beach is very secluded, where you can relax in silence, enjoying the serenity, purple-pink sunsets and picturesque sandbanks visible in the middle of the silver ripples of water. The noise of night parties rarely reaches this place. In the evenings, beachfront restaurants display their ice stalls with fresh seafood and colorful lights hanging from the treetops and palm trees.

Chaweng Beach is divided into 3 parts: Chaweng Noi, Central Chaweng and Chaweng Yai. The northern part of the beach, located opposite the small island of Ko Matlang, is called Chaweng Yai. The picturesquely curved arc of the coast and the cozy and calm atmosphere attract lovers of solitude here. Mostly residents of local hotels have a rest here, as most tourists prefer the more lively Central Chaweng. The picturesque shoals of Chaweng Yai stretch for long distances and end with coral gardens surrounding the bay. The sea is not deep enough for swimming, but is great for lying in the gentle sea water, enjoying the coolness and beautiful views.

The coastline of Central Chaweng is dotted with beach clubs, restaurants and hotels. During the day, relaxed club music plays here, recalling parties that take place on the beach every night. With the exception of low season, central Chaweng is always crowded, the beach atmosphere is conducive to socializing and having fun.

Comfortable entry into the water, swimming depth, plenty of onshore and offshore activities and a fun atmosphere make Central Chaweng a must-see on Koh Samui for those who like to be in the center of the action.

The southern part of the beach is less crowded, the seabed is clean, the water is clear, and the depth comes fairly quickly. The beach ends with a small rocky cape, where local fishermen moor their bright boats. On the other side of the cape begins the "younger brother" of Chaweng - the peaceful Chaweng Noi.

Ebb is strongly expressed only in the northern part of the beach, so you can swim all year round. From November to March, the Chaweng Sea, like the entire east coast, is restless. The wind is blowing, and during this period, many vacationers love to have fun, jumping on the waves.

The main road that runs parallel to the beach, usually deserted during the day, comes alive in the late afternoon. Walking through the evening Chaweng always brings extraordinary pleasure, the heat subsided, the lights were lit, the aromas of fragrant spas were replaced by the alluring smells of caffeine and restaurants. The choice of food on Chaweng is very diverse: from street food to 40 baht per serving and ending with world-class restaurants serving gourmet cuisine.

Chaweng offers an incredibly wide range of accommodation, even in the high season you can always find accommodation there. Due to high competition in the area, the owners strive to offer good quality for a reasonable price.
