We go to Destin every couple of years and when we go we always go on a deep sea fishing trip. This was the first time that we used Pelican Adventures. We booked a 6 hour fishing trip and were told to arrive at 7am. The boat was WAY overpacked. They booked so many people on the boat that you could not drop your line down without it getting tangled with other peoples lines on the boat. The crew on the boat was unhelpful! My husband spent the majority of his time untangling our lines and when we did catch a fish, he was the one who got the fish off the line...NOT THE CREW. The crew did not get one single fish off of our line. The worst part was that out of the 6 hours we booked the trip for, we only fished for about an hour and a half. The captain spent the rest of the time driving around"looking for a good spot." The best way to ruin a fishing trip is to have too many people and a bad crew, but when you add hardly anytime actually fishing it can't go well. We would barely drop our lines, when the captain would say, reel them in and lets go to another spot. I wouldn't suggest using this company for a fishing trip.
