- This was the best! Our Capital Calvin was great! He was friendly and super knowledgeable. We got lucky the dolphins were active so we saw several. We also got unlucky and it was raining/storming a little but Calvin kept us safe and we had so much fun. The water was murky for snorkeling but Calvin still pointed us in the right direction to see fish and wild life. Absolutely the best experience. - We had a great time fishing with captain Russell. We caught at least 20 fish, the weather was perfect, and we got to see dolphins and a sea turtle on the way back. It was action packed and the fish were quick to take the bait. Russell knew right where to take us. - If you are looking for a great fishing experience instead of a boat ride with occasional fishing then you need to fish with Captain Leveral on the Family Traditions in Apalachicola Florida. I am a retired Commercial fisherman and I can tell when someone is going through the motions or is working hard to put you on the fish and this Captain worries all day if everyone is having a good time and catching fish. That's extremely hard to find anymore. Friendly hard working crew. You won't be disappointed. One of the best trips I have had on a party boat in years. - Best Captain to go fishing with. Between Brian's extensive knowledge, positive & fun attitude it wasn't hard to have a great time. We caught some Sharks and other fish, watched some dolphins surf, lots of great tips on fishing and food, and most importantly our family made some fun memories. - I highly recommend Fifth Generation Charters. We had age ranges from 6 to 82. Everyone had a great time. Several first time fishermen. We caught 60 plus pounds of fish. Nothing better than fresh fish grilled the same day you catch it. This family run business is great from booking to catching. Very professional and safe. The boat is nice and air conditioning is a big plus. We did the six hour trip which was plenty for the oldest and youngest in the group. - Matt and Daryl took us out for an afternoon trolling trip. It was an awesome experience, we paid a little extra and stayed out till sunset. We fished for 4 hours and caught 23 keepers. Give them a shout for a good fishing trip. - Had an awesome day with Dylan in the bay catching Mangrove Snapper. Him and the deck hand, Barrett, were super helpful and were doing their best to put us on fish. It felt like we were back home just fishing with friends. Highly recommend these guys for your next charter. - Captain Garrison was Awesome! He put us on the fish right away and with the exception of travel time between fishing spots, we were catching fish the whole time! We caught Spanish Mackerel, Amberjack, and Grouper! We even had encounters with several dolphins and sharks! All-in-all it was a Great Time on the water! - Do not use this place for flounder Gigging. I’ve been Gigging a lot and this was the worst operation I’ve ever seen. - Marcus, our Captain, was fantastic. Told us about sights along the way but not non-stop (which was perfect). Took us all the places we requested and made great suggestions for places to see when we were out of ideas. Knows the area very well. Found the feeding dolphins with their babies. - Great time with shots at Tarpon, Jacks, Angle Fish, drones and Red Fish. Actually the drone was the US Air Force base tell us we had to vacate the area as they where going to do an unscheduled drone shooting by the jet fighter squadron.
Saw and had great shots at multiple huge tarpon 150lb’ ers easily. They followed but would not eat. So cool to watch. Massive school of Jacks passed and would not turn. Probably a few thousand galling down the shote line… truly amazing.
Later in the day after the Air Force moved us on we went to a different location for Red Fish on the fly. So fun to try to spot these ghost like fish.
Great time, great spotting and opportunities to convert. Next year we’ll be doing two days with Jason. After calling dozens of guides and leaving messages he was the only one to return my call, (while he was out fishing with another charter!), and we were able to set up the next morning's charter. We like to show up a bit early for appointments and right as promised JP arrived in his boat to take us fishing. Not being "real" fishing guys JP was quick to help us land some fish quick and easy like. His knowledge of where to find fish from his 40 years experience was impressive. His cajoling, easy going manner gave my friend and me a great memory and fish for supper!! We will definitely hook back up with Capt'n JP anytime we visit PCB.
