Redfish Fishing
Red drum, also called redfish, channel bass, spottail, red bass or reds, are one of Florida’s most popular sport fish and the state’s most widespread estuarine fish. Red drum are named after the “drumming” sound the make during spawning and when taken out of the water. The sound is produced by muscles rubbing against the inflated air bladder.
Snook Fishing
The Snook has a most distinctive body shape, featuring a tapered head and snout, underslung lower jaw, large fins and, most distinctive of all, a promi- nent black stripe running the full length of the lateral line. The stripe is present in all species of Snook. Coloration is generally dark gray to black on the dorsal surface, shading to silvery on the sides.
Kingfish Fishing
Two times each year we are visited by migrating Kingfish. They usually show up in May and stick around for most of the summer. They will also show up in November and stay until our first major cold front. When they are here, I will always let my charters know in case they want to target something they have never caught before.
Tarpon Fishing
Every May through August we are blessed with the arrival of Tarpon (aka the silver king). This is one fish that I believe every fisherman should battle at least once in their life. The anticipation of hooking into one of these fish will put a smile on your face as they roll all around the boat. To see a 4-6 foot fish that weighs almost as much as you do jumping 6 feet in the air while fighting against you is absolutely breathtaking!

Born and raised in Tampa, Capt. Mike developed a passion for fishing as a child. Capt. Mike grew up fishing salt and freshwater with his father Capt. Woody Gore and brother Capt. Mark Gore.
Now with over 30 years of fishing experience he does everything possible to create an unforgettable experience on the water. As an experienced professional, Mike is always willing to teach guests how to improve their angling skills.
Whether educating children or beginners his approach is always patient and courteous. However, when guiding seasoned anglers, he understands catching is paramount and does everything possible to locate feeding fish. A college graduate and Computer Engineer over the past 11 years, Mike learned early on that “Customer Service” is the key to a successful business.
